Heute machten wir bei schönstem Wetter eine ca. 2 stündige Schneeschuhwanderung auf der Flussinsel Rajamaa. Unser Guide Lars machte uns mit der Fauna und Flora bekannt.Es war eindrücklich. Uebrigens ist die Verpflegung hier so gut, dass wir um ein paar Kilo schwerer nach Hause zurück fliegen werden. Letzte Nacht hatten wir Glück und haben die ersten Nordlichter gesehen.Fantastisch!

Today the 10th of january we can see the sun for the first time in six weeks. Since beginning of december it has been under the horizon, but now it's back again.
It was some frosty flakes in the air, so we could see a full rainbow in the north.
Now the sun will stay up 30 min longer in the morning, and 30 minutes in the evening every week. First of june it will not set any more.

The 29.12 we made a visit with a french group to Samin Porotila in Venejärvi Village.
It was cold, - 29 C degrees, but we had a nice stay with driving reindeer sled, and feeding the animals. Lunch by the fire.
